(Gal 4: 4,5) “But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons“
I remember many years ago my mom, being wearied of my twentieth rendition of “Mary Had a Little Lamb,” said to me: “Mary can’t still have a little lamb because since I was a little girl I was singing Mary Had a Little Lamb.”
I hushed long enough to contemplate this obvious yet newfound truth.
Usually, Christmas time is when this funny childhood memory comes to mind. I think of how the Lamb of God came to Earth as a babe in a manger. However, He is no longer in a manger. He went on to live a sinless life and then died on the cross for my sins.
This Christmas, let us not only remember Mary’s Lamb in the manger, but let us also remember His sacrificial death, and His triumphant resurrection.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
(Luke 2:7) “And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.“
